Smyrna (İzmir) & The Acropolis of Pergamum

Revelation 2:8–17≈ 220 km

Route: İzmir Arrival → St. Polycarp → Pergamum → Smyrna Agora → İzmir / Kuşadası

Meet your private guide at İzmir Airport or your hotel. Begin in Smyrna (Revelation 2:8–11) with a visit to the historic Church of St. Polycarp and the Roman Agora of Smyrna. Drive north to Pergamum (Revelation 2:12–17) to ascend the dramatic Acropolis—visiting the Temple of Trajan, the steep Hellenistic theater, and the site of the Altar of Zeus—followed by the Red Basilica in the lower town. Overnight in İzmir or seaside Kuşadası.

Day 2

Ephesus, House of the Virgin Mary & Basilica of St. John

Revelation 2:1–7 · Acts 19≈ 90 km

Route: Hotel → House of the Virgin Mary → Ephesus → Basilica of St. John → İzmir Airport

Spend a thorough day at Ephesus (Revelation 2:1–7). Ascend Mount Koressos to visit the peaceful House of the Virgin Mary, then walk down through ancient Ephesus—seeing the Odeon, Temple of Hadrian, Library of Celsus, Church of the Virgin Mary, and the 24,000-seat Great Theater where Paul’s preaching challenged the silversmiths of Artemis (Acts 19). Conclude at the Basilica of St. John and the Temple of Artemis site before your transfer to İzmir Airport or Kuşadası port.
